Itinerary

Sunday April 7
Departure from Miami.

 

Monday April 8

Arrival to Israel in the early morning and start our day with a visit to Joppa. We will continue and visit Beit Lid where a terrorist attack against young Israeli soldiers took place in 1995. We will then proceed to Caesarea Maritime, and, after, we will visit the Mt. Carmel and the Muhraka. We will then continue to Kibbutz Ginegar to learn about the Kibbutz movement and continue to the Sea of Galilee.

Tuesday April 9

Start the day with a visit to the Boat Museum in Ginosar followed by a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Afterwards, visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus spoke the Sermon of the Mount, Capernaum and Magdala. Overnight in Tiberius

 

Wednesday April 10

Today we shall ascend to Golan Heights to visit the Tel Dan and Banias (Caesarea Philippi) parks. We will continue to Oz77 and learn about the battle that took place in the Valley of Tears.

Thursday April 11

Today our journey takes us south to the Dead Sea. On our way we will stop at some important biblical locations including a special place to put our feet into the Jordan River; enjoy the sites of ancient, biblical, and modern Jericho; and refresh ourselves in the Scriptures while viewing the beautiful scenery of David's Canyon at Ein Gedi. We will end our day with some relaxing time at the Dead Sea.

Friday April 12

A cable car ride will take us to Masada, listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO (those who wish may hike up the rugged “Snake Path”). We’ll take a “living history” tour of King Herod’s palace-fortress and hear the dramatic story of the Jewish Zealots in their rebellion against the Romans, the backdrop of today's “never again” Israeli mentality. We will then begin our journey to God’s city, Jerusalem. On our way we will stop at the Samaritan Inn, to learn about the story of the Good Samaritan. We will then continue to Mt. Scopus for a beautiful view of Jerusalem and end our day in God’s city for a wonderful Shabbat dinner.

Saturday April 13

We will start our day in Bethlehem, the birth town of Jesus. Continue to the Valley of the Ellah, to learn about the battle between David and Goliath and drive back to our hotel.

Sunday April 14

We will than start our day in God’s city – Jerusalem! Today we will visit the City of David, the Davidson Center at the southern archaeological park and continue with some special personal time at the Western Wall. We will then continue and visit the Temple Tunnels and get back to our hotel.

Monday April 15

Today we will visit Shiloh, the ancient capital of Israel and the place where the Ark of the Covenant was kept right after the return of the Hebrews from Egypt. We will then head to Mt. Gerizim.

Tuesday April 16

In our last day at the Holy Land, we will visit the Holocaust Museum Yad VaShem. From there we will continue to St. Anna Church and the Pools of Bethesda. We will continue and see the city of Jerusalem from atop the Mt. of Olives for a comprehensive view of the Holy City. We will descend the mount unto Gethsemane. In the afternoon, we will end our visits at the Garden Tomb. We will have our farewell dinner and transfer to the airport for flight back home.

The Full Tour price for Israel is $4,995 per person. You do not get to choose your seat on the airplane; it will be assigned at check-in.

If you prefer to purchase your own flights, please contact melissa@toursofhope.net to get a ground-only price. You will be responsible for all costs and arrangements to join up with the group.

The price is for double room occupancy. You will get to choose your own roommate. If a roommate cannot be found, or if you desire a single room for yourself only, an extra $855 is required by the hotels

  • Round trip flight on El Al to/from Miami International Airport (Tax & fuel surcharges which currently stand at $107.27. Any increase will be charged to passengers

  • Travel and cancellation insurance (Highly recommended – expect $300, Based upon age and level of insurance.)

  • Travel health insurance policy (Mandatory - $30, included in above insurance package.)

  • Required travel documents (Passport, etc.)

  • Any type of personal expenses including bottled drinks.

  • Lunches (expect $20 - $30 per day).

  • Tips to bus driver and tour guide (expect $16 per day, per traveler).

A non-refundable reservation fee of $200 reserves your spot on the tour and is applied to the cost of the tour.
